Ecopoetikon
In one sentence
A bespoke web platform built for a University of Gloucestershire research project showcasing ecopoetry from around the world.
What I did
Built the Ecopoetikon website in collaboration with the project’s research team — a group of academics and poets based at the University of Gloucestershire. The platform was designed as both a public-facing resource and a teaching tool, presenting an international map of ecopoets and their work in an accessible online interface.
The initial build was a custom PHP Laravel application. After the development contract concluded, the project team transitioned to Wix for easier self-management — a practical decision that kept the project sustainable without ongoing developer involvement.
Outcome
Completed and live at ecopoetikon.org. The project is credited on the University of Gloucestershire’s website, with my contribution acknowledged by name as the web developer.
